Are you ready for GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) has many implications, not least for marketing. Here are some of the ways we’re helping our clients prepare:

Supporting consent-based marketing

After May 25th you’ll need to keep a record of consent for the people you market to and you’ll only be able to market to people who’ve consented to be contacted by you. We’re helping by cleaning our clients’ data and sending ongoing ‘stay connected’ email campaigns.

Encouraging people to opt in to future communications

Conforming to GDPR will probably result in reduced prospect contact lists. To help address this, and ensure our clients only contact with people who want to hear from them, we’ve explored ways of capturing people’s details in-line with GDPR via lead generation software.

Ensuring secure data collection and transfer

If your website includes an enquiry form we recommend you add an SSL certificate. SSL certificates make information that’s transferred to and from your website secure, as well as boosting your Google ranking.

Updating contact forms on your website

Contact forms on your website must be updated so people can opt-in to be sent future information.

Updating the Privacy Policy on your website

Privacy policies must be updated to let your website visitors know what personal data you collect, how their data is managed and that their data won’t be shared with any third parties.

Ensuring ‘Right to be Forgotten’

We have a process to ensure individuals can be removed from our clients’ databases if they no longer want to be contacted.

We’re helping our clients become GDPR compliant with secure online data capture, transfer, storage and use. If you have any questions about GDPR simply contact us to find out more.
