SEO, or search engine optimisation is the process of making your website more visible in the major search engines, primarily Google and Bing. The more visibility that your website has in the search results for relevant search terms for your business, the more likely you are going to get visits from new customers. Keyword research

First of all you need to ensure that you are optimising for the right keyword phrases. There’s no point in spending time and money delivering the wrong kind of visitor to your website. This is where keyword research comes in.

By discovering what phrases potential customers use you can tailor your SEO strategy to your available budget. Maybe it will uncover niches or localities which are easier to target. Or you might decide the main terms are too competitive so optimise for a larger number of long-tail keyword phrases. On-site SEO

Once a keyword strategy has been decided, the next step is to structure the site and content to best respond to your chosen keywords.

As well as the on-page content that your visitors see there is a lot of work behind the scenes for the benefit of the search engines. From the page title and meta description, to the server speed and security, everything is structured to ensure your site as optimised as possible.

Off-site SEO

On-site SEO is only half the story though. The search engines want to show a user the most relevant, accurate and trustworthy sites related to their search. If the results are not up to scratch they would quickly be replaced by a competitor!

To do this they look at who links to who across the internet via what are termed backlinks. They then build a picture of how relevant and authoritative they think each site is for each keyword phrase. Building a network of backlinks is key to a successful SEO strategy, and there are many different techniques. We aim to find the most viable and cost-effective method of building backlinks for your site. Which over time can build up into a constant stream of new visitors to your site.
